Global revenue LVMH Group's fashion and leather goods segment 2008-2023

The Louis Vuitton brand is the backbone of the French luxury conglomerate LVMH’s fashion and leather goods segment, but the group is home to many other iconic luxury brands and fashion houses as well. Christian Dior, Fendi, Marc Jacobs, and Givenchy, among others, all operate under LVMH’s fashion and leather goods segment, which reported a sales revenue of approximately 42 billion in 2023.

Louis Vuitton: the most valuable luxury brand worldwide

Ahead of the world’s most popular and profitable brands by a large margin, Louis Vuitton is currently the most valuable luxury brand globally. For comparison, another LVMH brand Christian Dior had less than one-tenth of the brand value that Louis Vuitton enjoyed in 2022. In the same year, based on the National Brands IPX index, Louis Vuitton came in second place in France, where the luxury house originates. Chanel was the slightly more popular brand in France.

LVMH Group takes promoting and advertising its brands and Maisons seriously. In 2022, the group’s expenditure on such promotion and advertising activities, including media campaigns, amounted to 9.5 billion euros.
